The triangular channels used by Huss in its liquid-phased sintered silicon carbide elements increase the filtration area by 14%. Huss filter elements have a trapezoid outer shape that are later glued together to form different perimeter shapes.

Fleet Equipment
Volvo and Mack offer dealer-installed retrofit DPFs designed to work with non-EGR engines. The retrofit DPF, made by Huss Inc, is integrated into existing exhaust systems, available in several sizes based upon engine displacement and horsepower. This DPF uses active regeneration to clear accumulated PM.

The partnership is based on an agreement between Volvo headquarters in Sweden and Huss headquarters in Switzerlan,which will also make the Huss systems available on a global basis.
