Dear Reader,

The first quarter of this year passed by quickly especially on the OE (original equipment) side. The OE pipeline shows great promise for future business opportunities. We have contracted with Zetor Tractors, in Czech Republic, for serial production of their exhaust after treatment system final stages 3B and 4. Great news for us and a motivating challenge for the entire HUSS Group. We thank Zetor for the trust in our competencies. The retrofit business in Europe is recovering nicely, in the US, the lack of funding in conjunction with re-occurring amendments in emissions regulations continue to limit  business expectations. Fortunately, we have some promising ongoing projects to equalize these uncertainties. Beginning next year in London, the next level of the Low Emission Zone will be effective. In this edition you will gain insight to our approach in obtaining this market share. In Germany, we’ve launched a remarkable synergy campaign for brilliant service quality. As a group HUSS, GBM and Henkelhausen, have more than 200 field technicians.  These technicians are available for dispatch to our customers wherever they may need us. We now have the largest service network in place for particulate filters. Looking to the on-road market in Germany, we have found that one plus one sometimes equals more than two. Together with Proventia in Finland, we have formed a coalition that offers advantages for both parties – as Proventia gains more market presence and HUSS becomes the 360° supplier in this business sector. After reading our article you will appreciate the insight driving this collaboration. Last winter I had the pleasure of meeting Ashley Collins from the Respiratory Health Association. Together we enjoyed a business lunch on a cold and windy day in Chicago. Take a look at the interview with her and learn how others fight against bad air quality and diseases which come along with it. Enjoy reading!

Yours Sincerely, Thomas Rahn,
HUSS Group CEO.

Transport for London (TFL), the local regulatory agency, is now ready to fulfil the environmental expectations of their citizens’ by sharpening and widening the scope of PM emission limits. In 2012, the London Low Emission Zone will stand for what we can call the largest LEZ in the world. Of course we'll be part of it.

HUSS breaks new ground by establishing a broad and unique customer service network in Germany.

“After sales service” this is a nice buzzword, but how does it work in reality? Do sales end with the installation of a filter, or already after the purchase order has been submitted? In Germany, HUSS is now breaking new ground by establishing a broad and unique customer service network.
